What a lookup shows
Identity and powertrain details come from the VIN decoding data manufacturers file with NHTSA. Recall campaigns come from NHTSA's recall database, and crash ratings from NHTSA's New Car Assessment Program. Where a field wasn't reported, we leave it out rather than guess.
