The disclosure
OpenCarGuide may take part in affiliate programs. When a page contains affiliate or referral links, it shows a short disclosure near the top of the page, before the first such link. We may receive a commission if you click a link and purchase a product or service from a third party. You pay the same price whether or not you use our link.
This disclosure is made in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 CFR Part 255.
How affiliate links work
When you click an affiliate link, the merchant may place a cookie in your browser that identifies us as the referring site. If you complete a purchase within that cookie's window, the merchant pays us a percentage of the sale or a fixed referral fee. Partners report sales and leads to us in aggregate or by order reference; we don't receive your name or payment details.

We don't participate in any affiliate programs yet. When we join one, we'll list it here, with any disclosure wording the program requires.
Effect on editorial content
None. Commercial relationships do not determine what we cover, how we describe a product, or the order in which anything appears. Affiliate partners have no advance access to content, no review rights, and no ability to alter or remove a page. Vehicle data returned by our tools comes from federal datasets and is shown the same way regardless of any commercial arrangement.

Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure near the top of the page, above or alongside the first such link. If you would rather not use one, you can reach the same merchant by searching for it directly; nothing on this site is gated behind an affiliate click.
