These terms are between you and Worldview Industries LLC ('we'). By accessing or using opencarguide.com you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Permitted use
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute the site's original content, interfere with its operation, or use automated systems to place unreasonable load on it or on the third-party APIs it queries.
- Don't use automated means to query our tools in bulk, overload the site, or get around its security. If you need NHTSA data at volume, use NHTSA's APIs and downloads directly, which are subject to NHTSA's own terms.
- Government data shown on the site remains public domain, and nothing in these terms restricts your use of it.

Recall campaign records are filed against a year, make and model, not against an individual vehicle. They cannot establish whether a particular car has an open recall or whether a remedy was already performed. You must verify recall status for your specific vehicle by VIN with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at nhtsa.gov, or with a franchised dealer for your make.
Crash-test ratings describe a tested configuration under a specific protocol and are not a prediction of outcomes in any real collision. Do not make repair, purchase, or driving-safety decisions on the basis of this site alone. If you believe your vehicle has a safety defect, contact a qualified technician or report it to NHTSA.
Accuracy and availability
Our tools send your query from your browser to government APIs and show what they return. We do not control those services and cannot guarantee that they are accurate, complete, current or available. The site is provided on an as-is basis and may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time.

Vehicle data displayed by our tools originates in United States government works that are in the public domain. The site's written content, design, layout and code are ours and are protected by copyright.

General terms

Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site.
No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision, that isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
